Rick Silverman is a state licensed and nationally board certified hearing instrument specialist. Rick has over 25 years' experience helping the hearing impaired in the Jacksonville area. As director of the Hearing and Balance departments of Jacksonville ENT Surgery, Rick has made patient care his top priority. Rick has been cited in an independent study as ranking first in Florida for patient satisfaction.
Quandrian has been a part of Jacksonville ENT Surgery since November 2014. She grew up in Macon, GA. Quandrian received her degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Howard Univesity in 2008, and has been a practicing physician assistant for six years. She is dedicated to working whole heartedly to assure patients are always getting the best level of care available.

Kim has been part of Jacksonville ENT Surgery since 2012. She grew up in Jacksonville and is a Graduate from Sandalwood High School. She has a Bachelors of Art degree from Jacksonville University and used to design Billboards before returning to school to pursue Nursing. She graduated from the University of North Florida in 2006 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and was an Operating Room Nurse for 5 years. In 2011 she returned to UNF to complete her Masters of Science in Nursing with a focus on Family Practice. After Graduation she practiced in Pediatrics before joining the JENTS team. As a Nurse Practitioner, Kim's focus is to provide our patients with the highest quality medical care focusing on the mind, body, and spirit philosophy that Nursing embodies, with an emphasis on patient education, wellness and prevention.

Andrew Ahn, MD
Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgeon
Andrew Ahn was raised in New York City. He attending the prestigious Hunter College High School, where he first developed an interest in medicine while interning in a computational biomedicine lab at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. This experience, which led to a Westinghouse Science Talent Search semifinalist award, also began his continuing passion for integrating technology into medicine.
Dr. Ahn received a baccalaureate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he majored in electrical engineering. He also obtained a master's degree in electrical engineering and computer science at MIT, performing his thesis research in the Laser Biomedical Research Center at the MIT Spectroscopy Laboratory. His work involved designing and building a novel laser microscope for cell biology.
After graduate school, Dr. Ahn moved to Chicago to work for Abbott Laboratories. This work involved creating robotic and automation tools for the drug discovery process. During this time, he began volunteering at a local emergency room and realized that his true passion was in patient care. After several years of working as an engineer, he applied to medical school and entered the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx.
Upon receiving his MD degree, Dr. Ahn spent a year doing research in cochlear implants at the Medical University of South Carolina. This work involved developing models of auditory perception in cochlear implant users. He then began his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University at Buffalo. While in residency, he led several quality improvement initiatives, which involved developing or adapting new technologies to solve hospital system and residency program problems.
Dr. Ahn is interested in all aspects of otolaryngology, and has a particular interest in treating diseases of the ear and hearing, as well as thyroid and parathyroid disease and sinus disorders. He currently is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He hopes to assist in the development of the next generation of ENT tools.
While new to Jacksonville, he plans on making this area home and hopes to be involved in the community, both as a ear, nose and throat physician and as a citizen.

Andrew R. Simonsen, DO
Fellowship-Trained & Board Certified Otolaryngologist
Dr. Andrew R. Simonsen is a fellowship-trained Otolaryngologist and is board certified in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery. He is a 2001 graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa and holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition. A 2005 medical school graduate of Western University in Pomona, California, he went on to complete his residency training in General Surgery, Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2011. His residency experience included additional training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the University of North Carolina in children's cancer, head/neck surgery and pediatric ENT. Following residency, he completed a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where he trained at Texas Children's Hospital, the nation's largest children's hospital.
Dr. Simonsen is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (AOCOO-HNS), and American Academy of Pediatrics. In addition, he has held numerous leadership positions throughout his training, including voting member of the AOCOO-HNS Counsel of Residents and Fellows and chief resident of his Otolaryngology/Facial Plastic Surgery residency. Locally, he is a contributing member of the Northeast Florida Pediatric Society and the Greater Jacksonville ENT Society.
His published works include multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and a text book chapter on nasal septoplasty. Academic interests include nasal reconstruction, neural regeneration and protocols for reducing medical errors. His clinical interests and experiences are focused on the medical and surgical management of ear, nose and throat disorders, with particular interest in pediatric nasal and sinus disease, allergic rhinitis, pediatric voice and airway disorders, sleep apnea, congenital disorders of the head and neck, and hearing loss.
He considers it a great privilege to serve the citizens of Northeast Florida and enjoys supporting local causes. There is a good chance you will see him and his family at the Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville's annual "Buddy Walk" or discussing childhood communication problems at community events of the Jacksonville Speech and Hearing Center.

Charles Greene MD, PhD is a board certified Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgeon. He has benefited from world-class training and has a long track record of excellence and commitment to community service. Reared in the rough inner city area of Compton, California, Dr. Greene was able to overcome many early challenges in life to graduate from high school Magna Cum Laude. He went on to achieve his bachelor of science degree in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) where he was the recipient of numerous awards for academic work and community service. In addition, he was involved in student government and held positions in both local and national health care organizations. At UCI, Dr. Greene performed research in Behavioral Neural Pharmacology under the direction of Dr. James L. McGaugh who was the founding executive Vice Chancellor of the UCI, Chairman of the Center, and member of the National Academy of Sciences. In addition, he simultaneously performed research under the Direction of H.W. Moore, Chairman of the Department of Chemistry at UCI. With the support and direction of these great men, Dr. Greene developed an interest in becoming a physician scientist.
He matriculated into the University of Washington School of Medicine and was admitted into the very competitive Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP), where he simultaneously worked on his MD and PhD degrees (In Physiology and Biophysics with an emphasis in Neurophysiology). Dr. Greene continued to excel at the University of Washington and received numerous academic and community service awards. One of the awards he is most proud of is the "Outstanding and Meritorious Service and Achievement in Academic Excellence."
Dr. Charles Greene was the first graduate/professional student recipient of this award and there was an extensive write up in the Seattle Times Newspaper summarizing his accomplishments. At the University of Washington, Dr. Greene performed his dissertation under the Direction of Dr. Wayne E. Crill, Chairman of the Department of Physiology and Biophysics and one of the preeminent neuroscientists in the country. Dr. Greene's brain research examined the effects of activating a new class of brain receptors and was published in the Journal of Neurophysiology and in the European Journal of Pharmacology. Dr. Greene received world-class training at the University of Washington, which, according to U.S. News and World reports, is consistently ranked among the top Medical Schools in the United States and is currently ranked as the number one school in family medicine. After graduating from the University of Washington with both an MD and PhD, Dr. Greene received his residency training in General Surgery and in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Michigan. The Department of Otolaryngology at Michigan is known as one of the finest residency training programs in the world. In fact, the U.S. News and World Reports, for decades, has ranked the Michigan Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery as one of the top 5 residency programs in the United States. While at Michigan, Dr. Greene's research led to the discovery of a novel hearing loss gene (locus), DFNA-25, and that work is published in the 2001 edition of the American Journal of Human Genetics.
Dr. Greene's combination of scientific thinking, commitment to the community, and training under the guidance of world-renowned mentors has helped him develop into an outstanding clinician. Yet, if asked what he values most about patient care, he will tell you it is knowing that he did his very best to meet the emotional and physical needs of every person that comes under his medical care.
